When applying for a Global Talent Visa, it is vital to understand the two-stage process.
Stage 1 – Endorsement
Anyone applying for entry into or leave to remain in the UK via the Global Talent route must achieve endorsement from one of the following government approved institutions: The Royal Society, the British Academy, the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK Research and Innovation, Arts Council England and Tech Nation UK.
The applicable body will need to endorse you as a leader or potential leader in the fields of:
- science
- engineering
- humanities
- medicine
- digital technology
- the arts
- fashion
- architecture
- film and television
Each endorsement body has differing criteria, which can be found here. Our team will assist you with understanding what your endorsing body is looking for and demonstrating on the application how you meet the criteria. If you require the expertise of a translator, we can arrange this.
Entry-clearance
A significant advantage of the GlobalTalent Visa is that if you are successful, you can choose to work as an employee, a freelancer, or set up your own business. Furthermore, if an organisation such as an orchestra or a technology firm wishes to employ you, they do not need to hold a Sponsor Licence.
How we can help
The criteria for the Global Talent is set extremely high. Having your application reviewed by a professional immigration lawyer greatly improves your chances of being granted endorsement. Dr Navasardyan and her team have an in-depth knowledge of what endorsing bodies are looking for and the process UKVI follows when granting entry clearance. In addition, we will advise you throughout the life of your visa, ensuring you are meeting the criteria required for Indefinite Leave to Remain and British Citizenship, should that be your ultimate aim.
