RVS Solicitors is committed to providing the best client service and professional advice while keeping our fees reasonable and affordable. We use modern technology to cut unnecessary costs and make specialist immigration and Family law related service affordable to a larger public. To keep the costs for your legal matter transparent, we offer fixed fee arrangements wherever possible.
For exact cost of your particular matter or for fees relating to services not listed below please contact us.
Please note, that where fixed fee has been agreed, no refund will be issued in case of withdrawing your instructions.
None of the fees described below include any disbursement or payments to third parties. We will never incur costs on your behalf before informing you of their necessity and giving you the opportunity to agree with them or reject them.
Free initial assessment
We offer free initial assessment only on limited types of matters. Please consult the relevant service page or give us a call to see if we offer this service for your type of matter.
Typically, this will take about 10-15 minutes and is meant to help us evaluate the merits of your matter, understand the work that we will be required to carry out and offer you a fee structure that reflects the complexity of your matter. This will also ensure that you are not engaging us prematurely, which will help you avoid unnecessary legal costs.
Please bear in mind, THIS IS NOT A CONSULTATION AND YOU WILL NOT GET LEGAL ADVICE AT THIS STAGE. If you would like to get full legal advice, you will need to engage us for an initial consultation. We do recommend that you always avail yourself of the free initial assessment where possible, to ensure that you are not engaging us for a consultation which might not be required. The free initial assessment will help us understand if your case is totally without merits and you will be informed of the same, so that you do not incur any unnecessary costs for legal advice.
Initial consultation
We offer a flat fee for our initial consultations. For consultations up to one hour, our fee is £150+VAT. If you would like to have a longer initial consultation, please contact us for a bespoke fee. As our initial consultations are not based on the hourly rates of our lawyers, but are on a flat rate, you will be allocated a lawyer in accordance with the complexity of your matter and the availability of our lawyers. If you request a consultation with a specific lawyer, we reserve the right to charge their hourly rate as the fee for initial consultation.
Casework charges
Our fees are based on the time that our lawyers and the support stuff spend on your matter. At the onset of the case we will assess your matter and provide you with an estimate of time that we expect to spend on your case. On these bases, we will provide you with an approximation of how much you should expect to pay in our fees. As the matter progresses, we will keep you constantly updated in respect of the costs incurred by you. We will also immediately inform you in case there is a likelihood that the costs might increase.
Our current rates are set out below (Exclusive of VAT – 20%).
Senior Consultants | £500 |
Solicitors over 8 years qualified experience | £400 |
Solicitors/legal executives, 4 years + qualified experience | £300 |
Other qualified Solicitors and Legal Executives | £200 |
Trainee Solicitors, Paralegal & equivalent | £180 |
On almost all cases, there will be different level of skills involved in your matter, as such the costs will reflect this.

All cases are being conducted by caseworkers of different grades and supervised by senior solicitors. The rates will reflect the same and should not be taken as a multiplier of one specific hourly rate.
